In October 2020 53 luxury homes above $700,000 sold in the Edmonton CMA region. The most expensive home sold was $2,010,000 which was sold just above the list price in Cameron Heights. Compare these stats year over year to 2019 where we saw 48 luxury homes in Edmonton sell over $700,000. This represents a 10% increase over 2019 levels for the same month.
In contrast, in the Rural Markets surrounding the Edmonton CMA region, which includes Rural Sturgeon County, Rural Strathcona County, Rural Parkland County, Rural Wetaskiwin County, Rural Leduc County, and Rural St. Paul County 22 luxury homes sold in October of 2019. 2020 saw an increase to 38 Rural Luxury Homes sales a 73 percent increase. The most expensive rural home sold was in Parkland County. The property was at one time listed for $3,339,000 in 2008 but finally sold for $1,950,000 which was 15% below the list price in October of 2020.
